Wild animal safari park nebraska9/27/2023 They were mostly lounging by the water or under the shade. And at the time and day we went, very few animals were eating. Next question: is this park worth a visit if you’re just passing by? Well, it depends on your budget and expectations. It may be a little longer drive but the animals and experience overall is much, much better. If you’re coming from Memphis like me, let me answer your first question: Should you visit this park or Tennessee Safari Park? I’ve been to both and it is an easy answer. Have fun, bring a snack to eat in the parking lot, visit the lovely gift shop, and have a wonderful time. You can always delete the ones that aren't top-notch, but you might regret taking that one great shot. Finally, I had to back up and go around him. He kept swaying from side to side like he was dancing. Funny thing: An ostrich sashayed up to the front of our car and wouldn't let me pass. The animals don't care if your car is clean some of them were rolling in the dust (zebras and donkeys). Next time, I'll remember! Tip: don't wash your car before you go - do it when you get home. But when we finally got around to the giraffes, I regretted not having the extra feed because it looked like the folks in another car were really enjoying feeding and petting them. We got up close (through the window) with many of them and I took a bunch of short videos. Most of the animals stayed away from our car, but many of them were looking for a handout. ![]() ![]() Driving through the park was easy, we just had to avoid a couple of potholes. in the petting zoo, but forgot to buy an extra bag for the giraffes - and I would have very much enjoyed that. Everyone we met, employees and visitors, were polite and knowledgeable. I live in Memphis, but the drive was quick, just an hour. I took my brother who is visiting from "up north".
